Terms for using RentRight
These terms explain the basic rules for using RentRight and the information you record or share through it.

Using RentRight
- RentRight provides rental-record and shortlet tools for landlords, property managers, tenants, hosts, and guests.
- Features may change, be limited, or be discontinued as the product improves. The product will show the tools available for your account.
What RentRight Does
- RentRight helps users keep shared records of rent payments, receipts, properties, units, invite codes, messages, maintenance requests, and shortlet booking activity where those tools are available.
- RentRight is a record-keeping and communication tool. It does not replace professional legal, financial, tax, estate-management, or dispute-resolution advice.
Payments
- RentRight provides rental record tools. Rent transfer arrangements stay directly between tenants, landlords, and property owners, and RentRight does not guarantee payment collection.
- Manual payment records should reflect real payments made through channels agreed by the landlord and tenant.
- If an online payment or payout feature is available for your account, use it only according to the instructions shown in the product.
Notifications And Analytics
- RentRight may send account, rental, booking, payment-record, or service notifications when you request them or when they are part of a feature you use.
- RentRight may use analytics, pixels, cookies, and conversion tags to improve onboarding, prevent misuse, and understand product and campaign performance.
- Use optional payment or notification features only when the product presents them for your account.
User Responsibilities
- Users should provide accurate account, property, unit, rent, payment, receipt, tenant, and booking information.
- Users should only invite people they are allowed to connect with and should not impersonate landlords, tenants, agents, owners, guests, or RentRight staff.
- Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and notifying us if they suspect unauthorized access.
Acceptable Use
- Do not use RentRight for fraud, harassment, spam, unlawful activity, fake rental records, misleading receipts, unauthorized scraping, or attempts to bypass product limits.
- Do not upload or send content that you do not have the right to share or that exposes another person to avoidable harm.
Availability And Changes
- We aim to keep RentRight reliable, but the service may experience bugs, downtime, rate limits, or temporary feature restrictions.
- We may update these terms as the product, legal requirements, and available services change.
